Our pastor
Born the middle child of five in a rural Missouri town, Pastor Lance J. Long graduated from Southwest Baptist University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies and English. He then earned a Master of Divinity degree from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Lance has enjoyed opportunities as both a Baptist campus minister and as a pastor, and he continues to serve as pastor at First Baptist Church of Crestwood (FBCC) where he has since 1997.

A Message to you From Pastor Lance:
First Baptist Church of Crestwood is a community of believers seeking to honor God. We share a common faith in Jesus Christ and a common goal of reaching people with the message of the Gospel. We are ordinary people who have been changed by the extraordinary grace of God.
I believe that we offer warm fellowship and a welcoming church family. Our focus is on people, not programs. We are a Great Commission church seeking to share the good news of Jesus Christ in our community and throughout the world. We are not a “cookie-cutter” church. We are a unique expression of the body of Christ.
First Baptist Church of Crestwood is a place where you will be challenged to fulfill God’s purposes for your life. Our church is organized around five biblical purposes: Worship, Discipleship, Fellowship, Ministry, and Evangelism. Our sole desire is to point people toward Jesus Christ.
Our church family is a mix of young and old, married and single, traditional and contemporary. We are a neighborhood church with a regional mix. Our prayer is that you will find First Baptist Church of Crestwood to be a place where you will be challenged to live more effectively for Jesus, to discover and use your spiritual gifts and to experience a genuine relationship with God and with His family.
