baptism sunday
Christian baptism is a “means of grace,” whereby a believer is immersed in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—following the example (Matt. 3) and command (Matt. 25) of Jesus Christ. It is a public act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s newfound personal faith in Jesus Christ. It is a witness to others of their death to sin, the burial of their old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus. Join us as we celebrate! To be followed with fellowship.

fbc crestwood & bridge bread
This is an exciting time for our church to join hands with Bridge Bread ministries, whose purpose is being…
“… St. Louis’ only non-profit social enterprise that empowers individuals experiencing homelessness by providing meaningful work and marketable baking skills, permanent restorative employment, and financial assistance for housing. We believe everyone deserves a chance to build a dignified life. Through our restorative employment and unique Housing Incentive Program, we equip our bakers with the tools and resources they need to achieve self-sufficiency and become contributing members of our community again. Bridge Bread is more than just a bakery – it’s a doorway to a hopeful and brighter future.”
The current plan for First Baptist Church of Crestwood is to submit a bread order on the last Wednesday of the month, with the order to be filled and delivered on the subsequent Sunday after church. We will communicate updates in First Edition and through the church email list. Place your order on our church event at https://bridgebread.org/.
Update: Bridge Bread closes Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday, so they do not typically take orders for Thanksgiving weekend. We are pushing our Bridge Bread day up to December 7th, so you will have until November 30th to get your order forms turned in. They also close the week between Christmas and New Year, so our only order for December will be December 7th. We will start our monthly last Sunday of the month days in January. Thank you for understanding!
We are excited to glorify Jesus Christ as we partner with Bridge Bread and the human flourishing they are supporting through His Spirit!
november “S.N.A.P.” food pantry
First Baptist Church of Crestwood is actively serving as an emergency food pantry for people in our community who are being affected by changes regarding the S.N.A.P. program.
Social workers will be recommending that families not only contribute to our food pantry, but that we will also distribute the food to families in our community. We have received a large donation from the City of Crestwood Food Drive which has helped restock our pantry. We have already served 8 families 16 bags of food.
What an amazing opportunity for community partnership and for our church to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ in a practical, meaningful and life-changing way. Then let us strive to honor the Lord by generously loving our neighbors in this way!
