current sermon series!

In the midst of our culture, where the day-to-day change is relentless and exhausting, it is not surprising to feel a bit disoriented by it all. Beyond the culture, even within the realm of Christianity and the Church, more and more, that feeling of being on the outside seems to creep in. Where can we find that promise of Christian joy? What does living as a faithful and authentic Christian look like in this context? Join us for “JOMO: The Joy Of Missing Out” based on Keith Simon and Patrick Miller’s book “Joyful Outsiders: 6 Ways to Live Like Jesus in a Disorienting Culture.” We hope you will join us on a journey toward joy!

fbc crestwood & bridge bread

Recently, our church has partnered with Bridge Bread ministries, whose purpose is being…

“… St. Louis’ only non-profit social enterprise that empowers individuals experiencing homelessness by providing meaningful work and marketable baking skills, permanent restorative employment, and financial assistance for housing. We believe everyone deserves a chance to build a dignified life. Through our restorative employment and unique Housing Incentive Program, we equip our bakers with the tools and resources they need to achieve self-sufficiency and become contributing members of our community again. Bridge Bread is more than just a bakery – it’s a doorway to a hopeful and brighter future.”

The current plan for First Baptist Church of Crestwood is to submit a bread order on the last Wednesday of the month, with the order to be filled and delivered on the subsequent Sunday after church.
